The Grace Institute of Biblical Studies is a ministry of the Duluth Bible Church, located in Duluth, MN, U.S.A. It had been the desire and prayer of the spiritual leadership of Duluth Bible Church for a period of time to see a ministry of this nature started at the Duluth Bible Church. As a result of much prayer and planning, GIBS began its inaugural class in January of 1992 and launched the online version, GIBS ConnectED, in 2017 to reach external students. Our intent is to provide solid Biblical and practical teaching and training for those who are desirous and gifted for specialized ministry for the Lord Jesus Christ.

Mission Statement:
The purpose of GIBS is to be an instrument in God’s hand to provide grace-oriented teaching, training, and materials to interested believers in order to further establish, equip, and encourage them to faithfully fulfill the ministries God has given them by His grace.

What is Bible School?

The goal of our Bible School program is to prepare people to live an effective Christian life wherever God places them. This entails the student coming to an understanding of the believer’s identity in Christ through practical and intensive study of the Scriptures.

First Year Program

We’ve designed the First-Year Program to move students towards an understanding of the indwelling person of Jesus Christ through the study and application of God’s Word. We desire to know not only Who He is but the reality of His life in us.

Second Year Program

The Second Year program is a practical extension of the First Year program. This optional second year of study allows students to interact more closely with teachers and fellow students in classes geared towards a discussion-based format. Through a variety of means listed below, students get the chance to practice what they have learned in the First Year program.

• Leadership among the student body
• Service projects on the property
• Organizing and teaching at youth retreats
• Involvement in outdoor activities including climbing, camping, canoeing, hiking, and more

Maryland Bible College and Seminary is a service to the Body of Christ by providing graduates with a practical Bible college education which supplies the spiritual and educational resources to prepare and train others for their spiritual vocation and profession.

Locally As Well As Globally: MBC&S is devoted to training students to be missionaries, Bible teachers and Christian workers. Many of our graduates are serving the Lord in different locations in Maryland, in the United States and “to the uttermost parts of the Earth”, such as Azerbaijan, Peru, South Korea and Africa.
